Some words from the artist regarding the abstract series:
“A drop of God”
The human species is dying from its success, and it is hard to find a person that can comprehend how small they truly are in this universe. Our space is so miniscule and our time so relative that I liked the idea of expressing in my work the idea that we are “A drop of God”
The series is comprised of 50 original and independent pieces. Alike and sharing points of contact, but each unfailingly unique. I want to believe that in a close future a group of human beings will be connected by this idea. It is not a lot, just a modest contribution to the necessary concept of civilization meant to bring us together and ultimately deliver our salvation.
All are realized on ecologic paper, manufactured in artisanal workshops.
Each is an original piece and is signed by the artist. As a reference for future exhibitions of the series each piece is also numbered at the back from 1 to 50.
This is a special and unique piece, closing the period of a year of work done under the effects of a devastating pandemic, and although it is not enough, it is also a drop of hope.
La especie humana muere de éxito y es muy difícil encontrar una persona que comprenda su real pequeñez en el universo. Es tan diminuto nuestro espacio, y tan relativo nuestro tiempo, que me gustó la idea de expresar en una obra el concepto de que somos “una gota de Dios”.
La obra está conformada por 50 piezas originales e independientes, parecidas, con puntos de contacto, pero indefectiblemente únicas. Quiero pensar que en un futuro cercano un grupo de seres humanos estará conectado por esta idea. No es demasiado, solo un modesto aporte al necesario concepto de civilización que nos debe aglutinar y también salvar.
Todas están realizadas sobre papel ecológico manufacturado en talleres artesanales.
Cada una es un original, y está firmado por el artista. Como referencia a una posible exposición de este conjunto en un futuro, cada pieza está además numerada, al dorso, del 1 al 50.
Esta serie especial y única, es el cierre de un año de trabajo bajo los efectos de una pandemia mundial devastadora, y aunque no sea suficiente, es también una gota de esperanza.
